President Castillo invites Argentinean counterpart to Peru for working visit

The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo has invited his counterpart from Argentina, Alberto Fernandez, to pay a working visit to Peru in the coming weeks.

The purpose of the invitation is to strengthen political dialogue and friendship ties between the two nations, the Peruvian Foreign Affairs Ministry reported via social media on Wednesday.

Peruvian Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Luis Enrique Chavez transferred this call to his Argentinean counterpart Pablo Tettamanti.

Both government representatives participated in the fifth meeting of the Political Affairs Subcommittee of both countries, held in Lima.

At the event, the diplomats reviewed issues included in the bilateral and regional agenda.

Similarly, Chavez and Tettamanti confirmed the holding of a meeting of the Peruvian-Argentine Social Cabinet.

The first meeting of this body, made up of State Ministers of both countries, will take place in the Peruvian capital city.

The dignitaries indicated that initiatives on bilateral cooperation on issues such as social inclusion, health, education, gender, among others, will be developed at the event.
