The unveiling of the plaque honoring
Grand Admiral Miguel Grau Seminario, titled the "Gentleman of the Seas," took place at Alabama Way in Birkenhead, England, United Kingdom, in the presence of Peruvian diplomatic members accredited to said country.
According to the
Peruvian Embassy in the United Kingdom, Mayor Williams and Ambassador Gamarra spoke about the enduring connections between Peru and Wirral echoing the spirit of collaboration and friendship between Peru and the UK.
Moreover, the Defense and Naval Attaché of Peru expressed gratitude for the tribute on behalf of the Peruvian Navy.
The activity, held on February 23, was framed by the institutional policy for disseminating the values and virtues of Grand Admiral Miguel Grau Seminario at the international level, strengthening the ties of friendship and cooperation between Peru and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
The area, located adjacent to the Monks Ferry railway station, is part of a cultural reserve site of public interest, which is about 20 miles in length.
This event, a testament to Peru's commitment to international outreach, showcases the values of national hero and millennium Peruvian, Admiral Grau.
