The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday reported that members of the Peruvian community in Israel are being registered at the Peruvian Embassy in said country in order to be evacuated.

Via social media, the government agency provided an overview of the available contact methods to request assistance in said country and a link through which registration is being carried out.

The publication also provides two contact numbers: +(792) 527050868 and +(792) 503421923; as well as an e-mail address: consulperu-telaviv@rree.gob.pe.

Moreover, the ministry encouraged people to visit the Peruvian Embassy's Facebook page for more information.

Meanwhile, Peruvian Ambassador to Israel Manuel Cacho-Sousa reported that so far 100 compatriots have registered to be evacuated since the registration process began.

The diplomat explained that the situation is being constantly monitored, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, noting that the best decision will be made when the time comes.

"The (evacuation) route is still to be found out because, although the airport is working, there are many international airlines that are not landing for fear of being hit by a missile," the diplomat told Canal N.

"They would be evacuated on an Air Force plane or to a border country (…) It is an alternative, land borders are still open. We have to see how the situation here inside Israel develops," he added.
