Peruvian President visits Moquegua region

Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra on Friday arrived in the southern city of Moquegua belonging to the region under the same name, where he had served as Governor between 2011 and 2014.

The Head of State participated in the ceremony to deliver the Moquegua Hospital, an establishment equipped with cutting-edge technology that will contribute to providing health services to over 90,000 citizens residing in the provinces of Mariscal Nieto and Sanchez Cerro.


The Regional Government will be in charge of the functioning of the hospital. In this sense, the top official affirmed his administration will undertake the corresponding efforts, so that the health care center will be successful and rely on a large number of specialists.

"This institution should become the benchmark for others located in various regions of the country," he expressed.


According to the statesman, the initial project was intended for this hospital to be remodeled.

"But we thought big, in the future, and the work we proudly delivered today was raised. This infrastructure will improve the citizens' quality of life," he pointed out.



While in his hometown, the President also participated in the Military Civic Parade for the 478th foundation anniversary of the metropolis.
