Peruvian, Mexican presidents meet prior to CELAC Summit

Mexico's President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador welcomed his Peruvian counterpart Pedro Castillo to the National Palace in Mexico City on Friday.

The gathering took place on the eve of the VI Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC).

Within this framework, the hosting country's Head of State also spoke with his counterparts Carlos Alvarado Quesada (Costa Rica) and Alejandro Giammattei Falla (Guatemala).

Similarly, Mr. Lopez Obrador welcomed Presidents Mohamed Irfaan Ali (Guyana) and Juan Orlando Hernandez Alvarado (Honduras) to the palace facilities.



The event was convened by the hosting nation's counterpart, Mr. Lopez Obrador.


Both authorities welcomed Mr. Castillo and thanked him for his participation in the upcoming CELAC Summit.
