Peruvian Ambassador presents credentials to Chinese President

Peruvian Ambassador Luis Quesada presented credential letters to Chinese President Xi Jinping, the Andean country's Foreign Affairs Ministry reported.

Such credentials recognized the appointment of Quesada as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Peru to the People's Republic of China.

On the occasion, both personalities exchanged views on the excellent level of bilateral relations.

The Chinese leader took the opportunity to convey his best wishes to Peruvian counterpart Martin Vizcarra and predicted a deepening of ties between Peru and China in the upcoming years.

For his part, Ambassador Quesada said President Xi Jinping's State visit to Peru —in 2016— was a milestone in the bilateral relations as it contributed to consolidating exchanges at the highest level between the two nations.

The ceremony took place at the People's Palace in Beijing.
