Peru's Prime Minister reaffirms support to Multisectoral Task Force

Peruvian Prime Minister Gustavo Adrianzen on Tuesday reiterated his support to the Multizectoral Task Force, which comprises several portfolios and is in charge of monitoring rain and El Niño Phenomenon emergencies.

The Cabinet chief led the meeting of the above-mentioned working group at the National Emergency Operations Center (COEN) on Tuesday morning.


The activity included the participation of Ministers Walter Astudillo (Defense), Raul Perez Reyes (Transportation and Communications), Hania Perez de Cuellar (Housing), Ana Maria Choquehuanca (Production), Juan Carlos Castro (Environment), as well as Deputy Ministers of Territorial Governance, and of Agrarian Development and Irrigation.
 
"The head of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) reiterated his support to the Multizectoral Task Force working group. He ordered ad hoc interventions in the most impacted areas by heavy seasonal rains, which affect various districts," the institution said via social media.

Likewise, Adrianzen received the reports from the heads of different scientific institutions comprising the Multisectoral Commission in Charge of the National Study of El Niño Phenomenon (ENFEN), which provide details of the situation following said weather event, heavy rains, water deficit, among others.
