said on Friday that the city of Tacna, in southern Peru, reminds us there are values that neither time nor adversity can destroy, such as love for the homeland, identity, and hope.
"Tacna is the heroic city; it is the beating heart of Peru that taught us that love for the homeland never surrenders," she stated during her speech marking the 97th anniversary of Tacna's reincorporation into the National Territory.

"We are going to work to ensure timely, quality healthcare and to make our streets and homes increasingly safer," she added.
In this regard, the top official indicated that "I have asked the Health Minister to visit Hipolito Unanue Hospital tomorrow so that he can gain firsthand knowledge of the hospital's situation and work together to find solutions."
Delegation of powers
Likewise, the President stated that the Government will submit the request for delegation of powers today, which —she explained— "will allow us to carry out the reforms that we have set out as priorities for this Government."
These remarks came after her participation in the National Flag Procession, one of the main civic-patriotic events of the commemoration.
Thus, the commemorative activities conclude with the National Flag-Raising Ceremony and the Patriotic Civic-Military Parade, held at the Parabolic Arch of Tacna's Civic Promenade.
