The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte has met virtually with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.

At the meeting, the Head of State proposed developing a roadmap to strengthen the relationship between both countries.

In a statement posted on social media, the Presidency of the Republic said that said roadmap is expected to include areas such as trade and investment.

In addition, it is intended to cover cooperation on development, defense, and security, with emphasis on electronic government, digitization, as well as on science and technology.

During the virtual session, the country's top official invited Japanese firms to increase their investment and trade with Peru.

The meeting with the high-ranking Japanese official took place on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Peru and Japan.
