Peru's President meets with IDB head

The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte held a bilateral meeting with Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) President Ilan Goldfajn —within the framework of her official visit to Washington, D.C.

At the gathering held on Thursday, the Head of State expressed to the IDB high-ranking officer Peru's interest in strengthening relations with said financial institution in favor of sustainable development, as well as of the South American country's economic and social progress.

President Boluarte stressed that her Government promotes the execution of infrastructure and sanitation works for the benefit of the most vulnerable population in Peru.

Moreover, the top official indicated that actions are being taken to promote the Amazonia's sustainable development.

In turn, Mr. Goldfajn affirmed the IDB is willing to become a partner of Peru so as to achieve the country's sustainable development, as well as to attract greater capital investment and promote the development of sanitation, infrastructure, and Amazon programs.
