The
President of the Republic Dina Boluarte received in an audience the
Executive-President of the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF), Sergio Diaz-Granados, on Monday.
The meeting addressed the extensive work agenda of the multilateral financial institution in the country, as well as the promotion of investment projects in order to close gaps.
At the meeting, the Head of State expressed Peru's commitment to continue working together on initiatives that benefit Peruvians.
One of the above-mentioned initiatives includes the approval of two loans in favor of Peru so as to strengthen fiscal management and the development of natural gas infrastructure.
Likewise, the country's top official thanked the Organization for its support for Peru in assuming the Pro-Tempore Presidency of the Andean Community.
Moreover, Mrs. Boluarte expressed her interest in counting on CAF's support during the Pro-Tempore Presidency of the Pacific Alliance, which Peru will hold starting next August.
According to the Presidential Office Strategic Communication and Press Secretariat, the audience was held at the Government Palace in Lima at 11:30 a.m. (local time).
