The President of the Republic Francisco Sagasti on Wednesday announced that the Transition and Emergency Government ensures the vaccination of all Peruvians over 12 years of age thru the end of 2021.

In a video posted on Twitter, the Head of State reported that the current administration has secured 78.7 million doses until January 2022.

"Dear fellow citizens, I have made a pause at the session of the Council of Ministers to announce that we already have a scheme for the arrival of vaccines thru the end of this year following negotiations with different laboratories," he expressed.

The top official explained that 9 million doses will be received in July —the last shipment this month being set for a date between 26th and 27th.

Likewise, the Peruvian State is scheduled to receive 8.3 million doses in August, followed by 11 million (September), 10.5 million (October), 10.9 million (December), and some 7.5 million doses (January 2022).

"In other words, the immunization of all Peruvians over 12 years of age is guaranteed until the end of this year, and we still have vaccines already scheduled for January 2022," he emphasized.
