The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte on Thursday affirmed that the Government will make every effort so that education for all students in the country is of quality.

Within this framework, the Head of State indicated that these acts "fill us with pride, emotion, and joy."

"This Government will not stop, and the Education minister knows it; we are going to make every effort so that education for all our children at primary and secondary school, as well as at university and Beca 18, is of quality," she said.

During the event, the top official specified that this ceremony serves to recognize the effort and talent of each scholarship recipient, who has the opportunity to prove, through their stories, "that education is capable of changing their lives and transforming the country."

In this sense, the president specified that 1,960 scholarships are being awarded to young Peruvians.

She indicated that the Beca 18 program, in its first phase scheduled for May, will award 3,040 more scholarships, leading to a total of 5,000 beneficiaries with studies paid for by the Peruvian State.

"Education not only must be of quality; it must also be inclusive, without any distinction or discrimination; teachers must do their best not only to meet class time, or curriculum; that teaching must be exercised with love so that young people can learn," she expressed.

Moreover, Mrs. Boluarte announced that her administration will seek to grant tablets and laptops to students, since said purchases must be in the same line of the fight against corruption, ensuring market prices and durability.

"We will continue betting on education not only with speeches and promises, but with concrete actions through the scholarships we award and with well-paid teachers," she added.
