Peru: PM meets with Pluspetrol and Camisea Consortium representatives

Prime Minister Denisse Miralles held a meeting Thursday with representatives of Pluspetrol and the Camisea Consortium, as part of government actions to address the emergency caused by the rupture of a natural gas pipeline in Megantoni, Cusco region, southeastern Peru.

The Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) stressed that it remains in permanent session to address the energy contingency.

Within that framework, these actions are being coordinated to ensure the supply of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).

"Within the framework of the permanent session to address the energy contingency, Denisse Miralles met with representatives of Pluspetrol and the Camisea Consortium to coordinate actions that ensure the continuity of the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) supply and the development of productive activities," the PCM stated on X.

In the context of the emergency, the Executive Branch issued Supreme Decree No. 002-2026-EM to safeguard residential gas consumption, guarantee supply for public transportation, and ensure the continuity of essential services nationwide through the adoption of rapid-response measures.
