Prime Minister Walter Martos attends Parliament to support the Budget, Debt and Financial Balance Bills for 2021 in a Wednesday plenary session.

According to Article 81 of Congress Regulations, the presentation should not take more than 60 minutes and must focus on spending priorities and sources of financing.

Afterwards, Parliament political groups will participate in a debate to review the bills. Each presentation should not take more than 20 minutes per spokesperson.

Last weekend, the Executive Branch submitted to Parliament the 2021 General Budget bill, whose priorities are health and emergency care, education, the protection of the most vulnerable groups, as well as the country's economic reactivation.

The proposal implies a 3.2% increase compared to 2020, reported Economy Minister Maria Antonieta Alva, who noted that the country's economic growth is not the same as in previous years due to lower tax collection.
