Peru's Pizarro presented by German Werder Bremen

11:52 | Bremen (Germany), Jul. 31.

Peruvian forward Claudio Pizarro was on Tuesday officially presented as Werder Bremen's new player.

As is known, the athlete —at the age of 39— has returned to this German soccer team, in which he is regarded as an idol.

Via social media, the Bundesliga club noted the Andean Bomber "really needs no introduction!" as this is the fourth time he will wear Bremen's colors.

Speaking at a press conference, Pizarro pointed out he is very happy to join Werder Bremen for another year.

"I hope this will be a great year and probably my last one as a professional. I chose number 4 because 24 and 14 were already taken," he stated.

Likewise, the athlete said "I definitely believe I can play a role in the field, I would like to create (goal chances) and score goals. I am also here to support young players."

"I'm pretty comfortable in Bremen, it is a great city. Now, we have a new summer training session, and I will try to make the most of it," he concluded.
