Peru's Permanent Mission to the United Nations hosted a reception on the occasion of the Peruvian Exporters Association's (Adex) 50th anniversary —within the framework of a visit paid by the latter's trade mission to New York City.

As is known, the delegation is also composed of officials from the Ministry of Economy-Finance and the Central Reserve Bank (BCR)

Previously, the Peruvian delegation paid a visit to the United Nations headquarters.

At the site, they saw a presentation by the organization's authorities on the importance of public-private articulation in the transversal implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

"We are here a little more than a day, and the first conversations we have had with some investors have been positive," he emphasized after participating in the traditional bell-ringing ceremony at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) on Monday morning.

The Cabinet member and Central Reserve Bank (BCR) Governor Julio Velarde lead a public-private delegation.

It visits New York City on May 22-23 to hold meetings with investors and local authorities so as to present Peru's macroeconomic strengths, as well as the prospects and various investment opportunities offered by the South American country.
