Peru participates in traditional bell-ringing ceremony at NYSE

The Peruvian delegation, led by Peruvian Economy-Finance Minister Alex Contreras and Central Reserve Bank Governor Julio Velarde, on Monday morning participated in the traditional bell-ringing ceremony at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), which opened the sessions of this important stock market.

Both authorities make up the Peruvian Exporters Association (ADEX) mission, which visits New York City on May 22-23.

While in the U.S. city, delegation members will fulfill an agenda that includes a forum and working meetings with representatives from various institutions, as well as with the 
city's Mayor, Eric Adams.

The mission is also made up of PwC Peru Country Senior Partner and American Chamber of Commerce of Peru (Amcham Peru) board member, Orlando Marchesi, plus several directors of business guilds.

JP Morgan Executive Director Diego Pereira and Peruvian Ambassador to the United States Gustavo Meza-Cuadra will be present at the scheduled events as well.

On May 23, the delegation will meet with representatives of various organizations such as Help Peru, the Peruvian-North American Chamber, the Americas Society/Council of the Americas (AS/COA), and with Peru's New York-based Trade Office (Ocex New York) officials.
