Peru's GDP growth expectations increase

Peru's GDP growth expectations for the next 12 months increased from 3.8% in June to 3.9% in July 2018, Central Reserve Bank's (BCR) latest Survey on Macroeconomic Expectations revealed.

"Economic growth expectations have been revised upwards for the third consecutive month," BCR underlined.

Regarding economic growth projections for 2018, analysts and the financial system also predict an improvement. 

In this sense, analysts estimated a 4.0% GDP expansion last July, a figure higher than the 3.8% forecasted the previous month. 

For its part, the financial system increased its projection from 3.6% (June) to 3.8% (July). 

On the other hand, non-financial businesses maintained their 3.5% projection for this year.
