Peru's First Lady encourages population to participate in Vaccinathon

18:38 | Lima, Sep. 5.

Peruvian First Lady Lilia Paredes on Sunday afternoon encouraged the population to participate in the Seventh Vaccinathon —a 36-hour-long vaccination event held in Lima Metropolitan Area, Callao, and at least 10 regions across the country— in order to get inoculated against COVID-19 and be protected from the novel coronavirus.

As reported by the wife of President Pedro Castillo, people can visit the closest vaccination center to receive their corresponding dose.

"We still have time to get to the closest vaccination center. Let us participate in the Vaccinathon," she wrote in a post on Twitter.

Thus, the Ministry of Health (Minsa) continues to widen the age range for the vaccination process nationwide, so as to protect more people from the COVID-19 pandemic.
