10:49 | Lima, Sep. 9.

Peru's farming exports totaled US$550 million in July this year, a 23% expansion from the same month in 2018, Central Reserve Bank (BCR) has reported.

The rise was mainly due to higher farming shipments (22.6%), explained by an increase in exports of blueberries and fresh asparagus.

Meanwhile, according to the country's leading monetary authority, prices grew by an average of 0.3%.

Peru's top export destinations were the European Union (with sales up 50.4%), the United States (15.8%), Ecuador (26.9%), and Colombia (104.3%).
