In an interview with RPP Noticias, the government official said the mission's proposal is to arrive in Peru on November 20th to fulfill its activities on the 21st and 22nd aimed at analyzing the situation in Peru and contributing to national dialogue.
The dates will be corroborated at the OAS headquarters on Friday depending on the decision to be made by the mission, he explained.
The Cabinet member highlighted the participation of five Foreign Affairs ministers from the region within the aforementioned group.
The official stressed that although this mission is autonomous in defining its agenda in Lima, it is certain that the group will meet with President Pedro Castillo; the heads of Congress and the Judiciary; in addition to other constitutional and civil society organizations.
"Democracy is a process in which both public and private entities, of social and economic nature, are involved," he said.
The commission is also made up of the Deputy Minister of Multilateral Affairs of Colombia, Laura Gil; the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Costa Rica, Christian Guillermet; and the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Paraguay, Eladio Loizaga, who will act as Representative of the OAS General Secretariat.
