Peru's FA Min: Access to COVID-19 vaccine is a national goal

The Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed that access to a vaccine against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) is a national objective.

In a video posted on Twitter, the government agency stressed that the strategy to achieve immunization is in charge of the multisectoral commission led by the Foreign Affairs Ministry.

Likewise, it highlighted that —at the bilateral level— negotiations are held with various governments and the most prestigious pharmaceutical laboratories in the world to access the vaccine as soon as it is available.

It also mentioned that conducting clinical trials in Peru will ensure preferential prices and favorable conditions to guarantee immunization.

"These multisectoral efforts are a sign of the firm commitment of the Government of Peru to guarantee timely access to vaccines for all Peruvians," it emphasized.
