Peruvian water-skier Natalia Cuglievan captured the fifth position at the World Water Ski Championship held in Jalisco, Mexico.
Cuglievan scored 8,350 points in the preliminary round and qualified for the final stage, in order to compete against the world's best athletes.
She improved her performance during the final round thus reaching 9,120 points, a score that enabled the Peruvian athlete to be placed among the world's top five water-skiers.
Thanks to this achievement, Natalia could set a personal, national and Latin American record.
It must be noted that Cuglievan took gold at the Toronto 2015 Pan American Games held in Canada on July 10th-26th, 2015.
