Peru's veteran forward Claudio Pizarro was described as a "legend" on Monday after winning a hundred victories with German soccer club Werder Bremen.

"There are 20 years between one photo and the other. One portraits the day of the first triumph, and yesterday's features Claudio Pizarro wearing the Werder Bremen jersey in his 100th victory. You are a legend!" Werder Bremen posted on its social networks.

The 'Andean Bomber' took part in Werder Bremen's recent victory —as visitors— over Wolfsburg (3-2) in the Bundesliga.

The 41-year-old player returned to Werder Bremen at the beginning of this season. This is his fourth time he wears the green-white jersey since 1999, when he joined the team.

Additionally, Pizarro had an outstanding performance during his time at Bayern Munich, where he played for nine seasons.

He also signed short-term contracts with Chelsea (2007-2008) and F.C. Köln (2017-2018).

The Peruvian forward is considered an emblematic player at both Werder Bremen and Bayern Munich. Besides, he has scored 197 Bundesliga goals in 471 matches.
