A delegation from the Peruvian Public Ministry, led by Attorney General Patricia Benavides, traveled to the United States —on commission of services— to carry out confidential procedures.

The trip authorization was provided by Public Ministry Resolution No. 262-2023-MP-FN, which was published on Wednesday in the Official Gazette El Peruano.

Said document indicates that the prosecutors carried out procedures of confidential nature.

These procedures were part of an investigation being conducted by the Area of Illicit Enrichment and Constitutional Complaints of the Attorney General's Office.

According to the resolution, the representatives of the Public Ministry were authorized to leave the country from February 5 to 7.

Participating prosecutors

In addition to Benavides, the commission included Prosecutor Marco Huaman, of the Specialized Area of Constitutional Complaints.

The delegation also comprised Ricardo Dulanto, provincial prosecutor in the Area of Illicit Enrichment and Constitutional Complaints.

It should be noted that, during Benavides' absence, the Attorney General's Office was entrusted to Supreme Prosecutor Pablo Sanchez.
