Peru's Foreign Affairs Minister, Ambassador Hugo de Zela, held phone conversations with his counterparts from Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Costa Rica, during which the state of bilateral relations with each of these important friendly countries was discussed.

During the talks, ministers highlighted the political points of agreement and shared strategic vision of their nations at the regional and global levels.

Likewise, they agreed to hold in-person meetings in the coming weeks, within the framework of upcoming international gatherings.

Minister De Zela reaffirmed Peru's commitment to an active, dialogue-oriented, and constructive diplomacy aimed at strengthening ties of cooperation and mutual understanding in Latin America.

The Peruvian State's foreign policy prioritizes strengthening relations with countries in the region, especially its neighbors, based on the principles of mutual respect, consensus-building, and shared benefit.

In this regard, the Peruvian diplomat will continue in the coming days holding similar communications with other Latin American Foreign Affairs Ministers, in order to ensure continuity in addressing the main issues of the bilateral agenda for the benefit of the region's nations.
