Peruvian Foreign Affairs Minister Oscar Maurtua has meet with
U.S. Ambassador to Peru Lisa Kenna in Lima, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported on social media.
During the meeting, held on Tuesday, the diplomats reaffirmed their countries' mutual interest to continue strengthening ties of cooperation.
In a tweet posted on its official Twitter account, the ministry said that both the Peruvian Foreign Affairs Minister and the U.S. Ambassador to Peru highlighted the smooth bilateral relations existing between the two countries for the benefit of their citizens.
"The ties of friendship and economic complementarity between Peru and U.S. —with the approval granted by that country— continue to progress at the hands of our new ambassador to Washington D.C., Oswaldo de Rivero," reads another tweet.
