The Supreme Decree
No. 008-2020-MTC —issued by the Transport and Communications Ministry— specifies that the preventive measure will be in place for a period of 30 days.
It details that its application is with respect to international commercial aviation and general aviation flights, due to reasons of public interest.
Likewise, it indicates that the duration period of this suspension may be extended by the Ministry, according to information on the
coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic evolution issued by the Health authority.
The Supreme Decree No. 008-2020-MTC was signed by the President of the Republic Martin Vizcarra; the President of the Council of Ministers Vicente Zeballos; the Minister of Health Elizabeth Hinostroza; and the Minister of Transport and Communications Carlos Lozada.
