The ceremony —in charge of the special commission responsible for the selection of the
JNJ— was held at the headquarters of the Ombudsman's Office.
Thornberry's appointment was announced last Thursday after the special commission voided the bonus awarded to lawyer Marco Falconi.
With this, the merit table elaborated by the special commission was modified and Thornberry became a full member of the JNJ, whereas Falconi remained as an alternate member.
Last Saturday, Resolution 003-2020-CE was published in El Peruano official gazette announcing the new appointment.
