on Saturday morning received a significant donation of 250 mechanical ventilators from the Government of the United States, through the
Office in Peru.
The donated batch of mechanical ventilators —which had been produced in the United States— are state-of-the-art, compact, portable, and will provide the South American country with greater flexibility in treating patients affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Within this framework, the Peruvian Cabinet chief thanked the U.S. Government for its donation.
"Thank you for this collaboration that is not only related to equipment, but also to the maintenance, installation, and training of our personnel for the corresponding use," he stated.
Furthermore, he expressed wishes for the speedy recovery of President Donald Trump, who has been recently diagnosed with COVID-19 and admitted to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda.
