The procedure is carried out by the Prosecutor's Office for Money Laundering —led by Jose Perez Gomez— in Lima districts of La Molina and San Isidro, where legal addresses of Yoshiyama and Bedoya, respectively, are located.
The raid is conducted within the framework of an investigation into
Keiko Fujimori and Fuerza Popular (Popular Force) party for Odebrecht contributions to the presidential campaign.
Yoshiyama denied having received
Odebrecht money for Fujimori's election campaign and sent an official letter to the Prosecutor's Office expressing his decision to cooperate with all investigations.
Last December, Prosecutor Perez Gomez raided Fuerza Popular offices in Lima to seize accounting information related to Odebrecht contributions to Fujimori's electoral campaign.
The prosecutors also visited Peru's electoral office ONPE to collect Fuerza Popular accountability information.
