The Public Ministry filed a constitutional complaint against Supreme Judge Cesar Hinostroza and four former members of the National Council of the Magistracy (CNM).
Via Twitter, the Prosecutor's Office noted Parliament is expected to initiate the corresponding judicial proceeding in the coming days.
It must be noted a constitutional accusation was presented on July 26, which —besides
Hinostroza— includes
former CNM members Julio Gutierrez, Guido Aguila, Ivan Noguera, and Orlando Velasquez.
They face bribery, illegal sponsorship, and influence peddling charges.
As is known, they all are implicated in a series of audio recordings revealing
corruption in the Inca country's judicial system.
Detainees include National Office of Electoral Processes (ONPE) former official Jose Luis Cavassa Roncalla —who served as the alleged organization's political operator— as well as textile entrepreneur Mario Americo Mendoza Diaz.
