Last September, national copper yield reached 240,995 Fine Metric Tons (FMT), representing an increase of 3.7% compared to the previous month.
Meanwhile, cumulative production from January to September 2025 rose 2.7% over the same period in 2024.
Moquegua region leads copper production (17.7%), followed by Apurimac (15.3%), Arequipa (15.2%), and Ancash (13.8%), according to the Mining Statistical Bulletin (BEM) published monthly by
Minem.
Zinc
Zinc production in September 2025 saw a month-on-month increase of 25.5%, while cumulative output from January to September 2025 rose 17.5% compared to the same period in 2024.
Ancash region leads total production (40.3%), followed by Junin (15.5%) and Lima (12.5%), respectively.
Silver
Silver production in September 2025 recorded an 11.3% increase compared to the previous month, while cumulative output from January to September rose 8.3%.
Ancash region leads production (19.7%), while Lima and Pasco report 19.5% and 14.2%, respectively.
Lead
Lead production in September 2025 showed a month-on-month increase of 2.8%. Cumulative output from January to September was 7.5% higher than in the same period of 2024.
Pasco region produces the largest share of lead (30.5%), followed by Lima and Junin, accounting for 18.9% and 11.8% of the total, respectively.
Tin
Tin production recorded a 13.4% increase in September 2025 compared to the previous month.
Meanwhile, cumulative production up to September was 3.2% higher than in the similar period of the previous year.
Puno remains the only tin-producing region in Peru.
Gold
Regarding national gold production, an increase of 0.1% was reported from January to September 2025 over the same period of 2024.
La Libertad region records the highest volume (28.2%), followed by Cajamarca and Arequipa with 24.3% and 21.5%, respectively.
