The debate between presidential candidates Keiko Fujimori (Fuerza Popular) and Pedro Castillo (Peru Libre) will be held in the city of Arequipa this Sunday, May 30 —one week prior to the runoff election scheduled for June 6.

The auditorium of the National University of San Agustin (UNSA) in the southern area is planned as the venue for this meeting aimed at exchanging ideas.

The event, organized by the National Elections Board (JNE), will consist of six thematic sections, in each of which there will be two citizen questions.

The format will also feature open dialogue: it will start with a three-minute presentation of each candidate and continue with questions and answers linked to each section's main topic.

Lastly, candidates will be able to make a closing statement.

According to the draw carried out by the JNE, the sections will be organized as follows:

Section I: Peru of the Bicentennial

Section II: Health and pandemic management

Section III: Economy and job promotion

Section IV: Education, science, and innovation

Section V: Fight against corruption and public integrity

Section VI: Human rights, social policies, and assistance to vulnerable populations
