Peru President: We listen to governors to help them overcome problems

Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra on Thursday affirmed that his administration listens to the regional governors in order to get to know their problems and help overcome them.

"Today we meet with the regional governors in order to review the goals and achievements of the 2019 budget execution and ensure the continuity of investments in 2020," he expressed.

Within this framework, the Head of State noted his administration accepts suggestions and contributions to incorporate them and to improve its relationship with sub-national governments.

According to the top official, regional governments must work on the implementation of public works before the start of the new year in order to achieve proper management and budget execution. 

"We have to lay the foundations for 2020," he pointed out.

The President also mentioned that his administration has made money transfers to be invested in projects, which must be executed seeking to improve the citizens' quality of life.

"We will we achieve the proposed goals working under an orderly approach," he stated.
