As part of visits to the country's main hospitals to hear the demands of patients, relatives, and medical staff, President Jose Jeri visited the Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen National Hospital, located in Lima's La Victoria district.

During his tour of the Social Health Insurance System (EsSalud) healthcare facilities, the Head of State listened to patients' concerns.

Likewise, he held meetings with doctors and nursing staff to learn about the main problems faced in their daily work.

During the inspection, the President confirmed overcrowding in the Emergency Department.

In response, the top official said he will coordinate measures to ease congestion at the facility by strengthening services within EsSalud's Almenara Care Network, allowing patient referrals to other healthcare centers and optimizing care delivery.

Furthermore, the President announced that he will hold meetings with EsSalud management to review and adjust care protocols in order to improve services provided to insured patients.

The Head of State will continue visiting health facilities in Lima and Callao to directly assess service conditions, carry out an accurate diagnosis, and adopt corrective measures to improve care quality for the population’s benefit.
