The President of the Republic, Jose Jeri, on Monday announced that he will travel to the Peruvian city of Huanuco tomorrow, marking the start of a three-month series of visits to each region to learn about their needs.

The Head of State indicated that his approach is decentralist and, consequently, he will begin these nationwide visits along with other members of the Executive Branch.

The top official stated that this is essential, as "it is also important to listen to the concerns and expectations that exist in each region."

"Tomorrow in Huanuco, and for the next three months, we will begin a tour across the country. In three months, we must visit all regions of this country; all ministries and the entire national government will travel to each region," Jeri indicated while leading the national flag-raising ceremony at Simon Bolivar School in Lima's Comas district.

The President will on Tuesday travel to Huanuco region to lead a new Regional State Council session, which will include participation of Cabinet members as well.

State of emergency

President Jeri reported that in a few days he will announce the results of the actions carried out under the state of emergency decreed by the Executive Branch in Lima Metropolitan Area and Callao region.

"Unlike previous months, there are many more positive changes, though some issues remain, as in any process. Things do not change overnight, but there is something different this time: there is a government that is truly in charge," he expressed.

The Head of State noted that he is aware of citizens' expectations regarding the government's actions. Likewise, he indicated that his administration is working around the clock to deliver results.

"Rest assured, we will not let you down," Jeri stated.

The top official also highlighted the Executive Branch's commitment to ensuring that the national flag is raised and the National Anthem is sung Mondays at every public institution nationwide.

The President noted that this measure, established under the state of emergency, aims to strengthen national identity in this context. Similarly, he emphasized that achieving it requires everyone's commitment.

Additionally, in statements to the press, the Head of State said that measures such as the ban on two people riding on a motorcycle remain in force.

He added that, although there may be questioning towards it, "what matters is that those who feel uncomfortable and annoyed are the criminals."
