Prime Minister Ernesto Alvarez conveyed Peru's greetings to Bolivia following Rodrigo Paz's assumption of the presidency in the neighboring country.

Likewise, the Peruvian high-ranking official expressed hope that bilateral relations will continue to strengthen.

In a message shared via social media, the Cabinet chief noted that Paz's rise to power marks the beginning of a democratic era in Bolivia.

"Peru greets its brotherly neighbor, Bolivia, in this new democratic phase, with the hope that both countries will continue strengthening bilateral relations," the PCM stated on X.

Alvarez attended the Plurinational Legislative Assembly in La Paz to participate in the presidential handover ceremony last weekend.

During the ceremony, the Prime Minister extended the formal greeting to Bolivia's new Head of State on behalf of the Peruvian Government and President Jose Jeri.
