Peru President to meet with Bolivia counterpart in Lima

Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra and Bolivian counterpart Evo Morales will hold a bilateral meeting in Lima this week within the framework of the 8th Summit of the Americas.

According to the Head of State, the gathering will take place at the request of the Bolivian leader.

"I've received a phone call from Bolivia's President Evo Morales —one of the most enthusiastic participants of this Summit of the Americas— who even asked for a bilateral meeting (...)," Vizcarra told reporters.

Furthermore, he affirmed the gathering will address various topics of common interest included in the bilateral agenda.

In addition, President Vizcarra announced he will hold bilateral meetings with other Heads of State and Government of the hemisphere, who will participate in the upcoming event.

"We will seize this opportunity to have a series of meetings with the purpose of analyzing topics of bilateral interest," the statesman added.


It will take place in Lima on April 13-14 and be attended by representatives of 33 countries.
