The Head of State underscored that this public work will benefit more than 480,000 citizens in the urban areas of Juliaca, who will have potable water at home.
"As the Government, we have been unblocking (public) works that had been stalled for years," Mrs. Boluarte said after signing the
loan contract with the IDB at the Government Palace in Lima on Wednesday evening.
The top official was emphatic in pointing out that every dollar from the loan has to reflect in the execution of this project so that Juliaca citizens can have healthy water, which will have a positive impact on their quality of life.
The president pointed out that Juliaca residents are supplied by water tankers until that future moment arrives.
Besides, Mrs. Boluarte mentioned that her Government will not cease until 2026 to bring potable water to other zones in the country, such as Tierra Prometida in Ica region, Pachacutec in Lima, and others.
"We will continue to go into debt to be able to bring healthy water to all our brothers," she stated.
Mrs. Boluarte also congratulated Oscar Caceres, Mayor of San Roman (Puno region), for his leadership and guiding his people towards better living conditions.
