President Martin Vizcarra on Monday affirmed Brazilian construction company Odebrecht had never been a client of CyM Vizcarra, a firm he had been part of.
In this sense, the Head of State indicated CyM Vizcarra had indeed rented equipment to some enterprises that had participated in the construction of the South Interoceanic Highway.
"But none of them was the Odebrecht company," the top official expressed.
He went on to add CyM Vizcarra had assisted some consortiums at that time, just like hundreds —and even thousands— of suppliers had done.
Likewise, the statesman pointed out the client list of a business is public, as any citizen can learn which clients the companies have had.
"And it can be verified that Odebrecht had never been a client of CyM Vizcarra company," he underlined.
Furthermore, President Vizcarra stated that Conirsa consortium had indeed been a client, but clarified it was unknown which enterprises had belonged to it.
"Besides, 12 years ago, none of the companies had any problems hiring, nor had they any complaints due to irregularities," the top official said.
