Peru: President meets with Princess Mako of Japan

Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra on Thursday held a meeting with Princess Mako of Japan, within the framework of her official visit to the South American country.

The hosting nation's Foreign Affairs Minister Nestor Popolizio welcomed the Japanese Princess before she met with the Head of State. 

Princess Mako is currently in Lima in order to commemorate the 120th anniversary of the arrival of the first Japanese immigrants to Peru

According to Japan's Foreign Affairs Ministry, there are approximately 4,000 Japanese residents in the Inca nation.

Princess Mako is the eldest niece of crowned Emperor Naruhito.
