Peru President meets with Ecuador, Colombia counterparts

On the second day of official activities at the United Nations, Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra held meetings with counterparts Lenin Moreno (Ecuador) and Ivan Duque (Colombia).

The audiences took place in the North Lawn Building at the UN Headquarters. 

Ecuador 

Presidents Vizcarra and Moreno met for nearly 15 minutes. 

During the event, both leaders addressed the strengthening of bilateral relations and the exchange of initiatives for the fight against corruption. 

Likewise, they discussed the 12th Binational Cabinet to be held next month in Quito, Ecuador. 


Colombia 

Later, a meeting represented the first audience between Heads of State Vizcarra and Duque. 

Both top officials agreed to deepen relations in diverse aspects of the binational agenda, such as security, the Pacific Alliance, and the improvement in trade relations uniting the two nations. 


Earlier on Tuesday, the Peruvian leader delivered a speech at the Plenary Meeting of the 73rd United Nations General Assembly currently underway in New York City.
