Peru: President heads Council of Ministers session

The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo and Prime Minister Anibal Torres led a new session of the Council of Ministers at the Government Palace in Lima on Wednesday.

The Cabinet met after having 
received the confidence vote from Congress members in the early morning
 following a long session at Parliament.

Last Tuesday, the Prime Minister —joined by Cabinet members— arrived at Congress and presented the Government's general policy to lawmakers.

Subsequently, several ministers answered questions made by legislators from various parties.
