Following an evaluation by a medical board comprising specialists in General Surgery, Urology, Emergency Medicine, and Intensive Care, it was decided to continue with conservative treatment.
His condition is stable. The soldier remains in the ICU, where he is receiving all the necessary care and specialized support for his recovery.
There, the President conveyed her best wishes for a speedy recovery to the Army Third Sergeant, with whom she was able to speak briefly.
It was reported that the soldier's medical care is fully covered by the Army Health Command through the Peruvian Army's Health Insurance Fund (IAFAS), which guarantees access to all necessary procedures, treatments, medications, and specialized services throughout his recovery.

Infrastructure work inspected
As part of her visit, the President toured the areas where maintenance and hospital infrastructure improvement works are being carried out.
She verified progress in the C-3-1 Technicians Unit, the C-2-1 Non-Commissioned Officers and Enlisted Personnel Unit, the C-2-2 Families of Technicians Unit, and the Pathology Department.
These improvements will strengthen the operational capacity of the Peruvian Army's main healthcare facility.
They will also enhance the quality of care provided to military personnel, their eligible beneficiaries, and their families.
