The
President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Monday sent greetings to his hometown, Tacabamba, which today celebrates the 129th anniversary of its establishment.
Tacabamba, the district where the Head of State is from, is located in Chota province of Cajamarca region.
"Tacabamba, a.k.a. the Branch of Heaven, the town where I was born and raised, today celebrates another anniversary of political creation, full of traditions and struggles. I send a fraternal hug to all," the dignitary said in a post on his official Twitter account.
Before becoming the President of Peru, the Mr. Castillo lived in Tacabamba, where he also worked as a teacher.
