The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte on Thursday enacted the law that creates the National Infrastructure Authority (ANIN).

The Head of State stressed that this State-run body will execute, in a decentralized manner, the large public works required by the country.

It will also be more efficient and effective in the objective of reducing gaps in infrastructure, especially linked to the vulnerable sectors of deep Peru.

During her speech, the top official thanked Congress for the consensus reached towards the approval of the bill submitted by the Executive Branch for the creation of ANIN, which will emphasize public works such as regional centers specialized in cancer care.

"When you work for Peru, when growth and development are boosted, when the needs of our population are involved, there are no flags or political differences; the only flag is the fight against poverty and inequality," she emphasized.

Later, President Boluarte reiterated the firm will of the Government to continue promoting dialogue and consensus on a social agenda with all sectors, after recognizing the citizens who, for the most part, demonstrated peacefully last Wednesday.

Today's ceremony was held at the Government Palace in the Peruvian capital, Lima.

On this occasion, the Head of State was joined by Prime Minister Alberto Otarola and Congress Chairman Jose Williams Zapata.
