President Martin Vizcarra on Monday affirmed the Chinchero International Airport
will be a major development pole for Cusco region and the entire Inca country, as it will boost tourism and create jobs.
The top official noted that a series of projects have been carried out for the benefit of nearby communities.
On the other hand, first-stage works will create jobs since the construction of the air terminal and boarding areas requires a greater local workforce.
"The Transport Ministry is here, and we all listen to your proposals and contributions," President Vizcarra expressed.
Remarks were made as he inspected earth-moving works for the construction of the airport.
