Peru President: Chinchero Airport to bring development across Peru

19:47 | Lima, Feb. 4.

President Martin Vizcarra on Monday affirmed the Chinchero International Airport will be a major development pole for Cusco region and the entire Inca country, as it will boost tourism and create jobs.

According to the Head of State, Peru will have a new first-class terminal that will attract more tourists to the country.

The top official noted that a series of projects have been carried out for the benefit of nearby communities.

Likewise, his administration —alongside municipalities and regional governments— will work hard to provide health, education, and sanitation services aimed at substantially improving citizens' quality of life

On the other hand, first-stage works will create jobs since the construction of the air terminal and boarding areas requires a greater local workforce.

"The Transport Ministry is here, and we all listen to your proposals and contributions," President Vizcarra expressed.

Remarks were made as he inspected earth-moving works for the construction of the airport.
