Peru: President Castillo heads to Puno for Fifth Decentralized Council of Ministers

The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo is heading to the southern Andean region of Puno to lead the Fifth Decentralized Council of Ministers and fulfill a work agenda that includes the provision of food as part of the national school feeding program Qali Warma.

The food will be delivered in the district of Huata in Puno province. The activity will see the presence of Development and Social Inclusion Minister Dina Boluarte.

Thus, 14.73 tons of staple foodstuffs will be received by the Municipality of Huata to assist 682 people in situation of vulnerability.

The Fifth Decentralized Council of Ministers will take place in the province of Huancane, and the top dignitary is expected to join it at about 1:30 p.m.

This decentralized session will see the participation of Prime Minister Anibal Torres, State ministers, Puno Region Governor German Alejo Apaza, as well as provincial and district mayors.

The meeting will address the Territorial Development Agenda in Puno by prioritizing the region's demands to close gaps in favor of the population.
